Though in the past, integrated efforts were made for the provision of basic social infrastructure both in urban and rural areas. But quantum of efforts made was small and also investments were not made in priority sectors. Hence the development efforts did not only kept pace with growing population and fast urbanization, but also relative importance of the various sectors was also negated. Now the district Govt. is giving high priority to development activities. Various development programmes have been started in the district. Detail of these programme is as under:
